Yumi’s Cells is about a single working woman in her 30s. Inside her, there are various cells to represent and deal with her various emotions. As she is not adept at expressing her own thoughts and feelings, these cells come to life and help her through her interactions with people.

In episode 6 of Yumi Cells, Yumi and Goo Woong go to the beach for their first couple weekend, before a disagreement about their accommodation in Sky Bay that has glass wall bathroom forces them to cancel their trip. However, before they leave, they eat in this restaurant.
Eommason Makguksu literally means ‘Mum’s Handmade Makguksu’, is a fresh buckwheat noodles (makguksu) restaurant located in Gangneung. The restaurant is said to offer healthy, delicious food with a “precious taste just like a mother’s caring touch.”

Mochuisle is a family-oriented dining space that serves Western food. The word ‘mochuisle’ is an Irish term that means ‘the pulse of my heart‘ or ‘my love, my family’. It is located inside Hyeri art village in Paju city and also has been featured in other korean drama titled My Roommate is a Gumiho.

In full episode 6 of Yumi’s Cells, Yumi and Goo Woong go on their first weekend trip as a couple to this hotel, seen as the up-market ‘Hotel Julie’. Unfortunately, the only ocean view, double bed room that was available, has a bathroom with glass walls and no privacy.
Right After they go to the hotel,Go Woong complaint to the management and announces it was a room for “perverts” as the bathroom is covered with glasswalls without privacy. After argument, the two decide to go home.
Skybay Gyeongpo Hotel is located along Gyeongpo Beach in Gangneung areas nearby Seamarq Hotel. The room that Yumi booked in Yumi’s Cells was one of the three Presidential Suites on the 19th floor, each of which has three bedrooms and a living room. The main bedroom features a king size bed, wrap around balcony and THAT bathroom with a jacuzzi.

Daehan Noodles, the place where Yumi worked as assistant manager is actually Central Patriots and Veterans hall in Yeongdeungpo district in Seoul. Central Veterans’ Hall is a 8 storey building that was built in 1981.
