Jumunjin Breakwater

Jumunjin Breakwater is well known as filming locations for Goblin, where Kim Go Eun and Gong Yoo meet and received a Bouquet.

If you want to have same scene as seen in the dramas, you can easily rent the bouquet nearby and take same pictures with your loved one as Gong Yoo and Go Eun in the dramas.

Other than that, you can also find BTS bus stop nearby where they filmed ‘They Never Walk Alone’ and parts of Jimin’s cuts in the ‘Spring Day’.

Mukho Lighthouse

Mukho Lighthouse is located at Nongol-gil, Donghae. This areas was featured in ‘Run On’ 2020 korean dramas.

You can find Nongol cafes that offers you a beautiful views of the beach. This cafes is where Shin Se Kyung and Soo Young have some talk in JTBC Drama ‘Run On’.

Right as you leave the cafes, you will see the big red windmill where Soo young and Kang Tae Oh  met. This areas has various murals and sculptures that was great for taking some pictures and explore around.

Mangsang Beach

Mangsang Beach is located in Donghae, connecting Gangneung and Samcheok. This beach has been featured in Hotel Del Luna 2019 kdrama hits, starring IU and Yeo Jin Goo.

IU visited this beach whenever she felt meaningless about life. This beach offers a gorgeous sunset views to refresh your soul.

Yongpyong Resort

Yongpyong Resort is the largest ski resort in Korea, well known for it’s fantastic natural scenery.

This resort has been featured in various korean dramas, such as “Winter Sonata”, “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God”, and “My ID is Gangnam Beauty”.

This is where the university orientation was held in My ID is Gangnam Beauty.

Other than that, you can take a cable car up to Balwangsan Mountain.

Balwangsan Mountain was also used in My ID is Gangnam Beauty korean drama in the scene where Mi Rae come to get an energy from this mountain.

At the top of Balwangsan Mountain you can find a Winter Sonata photo zone.

Imdangdong Catholic Church

Imdangdong Catholic Church is the oldest catholic church in gangneum which was establish right after the Korean War. This church has been featured in kdrama hits ‘Mr.Sunshine’ where Kim min Jung came to find her mother.

Goseokjeong Pavilion

Goseokjeong Pavilion is One of the eight scenic spots in the area located in the Hantan River valley. 

On the side of the trail, you can see various Korean dramas that were being featured here, such as Shark, That Winter, the Wind Blows, Dr. Jin, and Gunman in Joseon.

In the first episode of That Winter, the Wind Blows, Jo In-sung appeared here during the winter snow where hantan River was frozen.

You can also enjoy riding the boat and having some beautiful sceneries all around.

Samcheok Sol Beach Resort

This place was featured as the background of SBS drama ‘While You Were Sleeping’ in 2017 where Lee jong Suk and Suzy came for a date.

In front of the resort, there is a 500m pathway where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the beach.

Hanbo Coal Mine

Hanbo Coal Mine is a closed mine in Taebaek that was featured in ‘Descendants of the Sun’, hits kdrama starring Song joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo.

Museum San

Museum SAN is located in Wonju. This museum was divided into several different areas, such as paper gallery, outdoor garden, art gallery, meditation hall and James Turrell exhibit.

Jade Garden

Jade Garden is a European-style luxury arboretum located in Chuncheon.

This place has been featured in many various korean dramas, such as “Angel’s Last Mission: Love”, starring Shin Hye sun and Kim Myung soo, and “The Winter, The Winter Blows”, starring Song Hye Kyo and Jo In sung.

Sogeumsan Suspension Bridge

Sogeumsan Suspension Bridge 200 meter long suspension bridge in Wonju and currently is the longest suspension bridge in Korea. It offers a beautiful scenery of the Seomgang River.

This place is also being featured in the 9th episode of ‘It’s Okay Not To Be okay’ where Gang Tae come to see the suspension bridge.

This locations is also featured in Infinite Challenge, where Yoo Jae Suk was sent here.

Art Museum Jajaknamusoup

Art Museum Jajaknamusoup is definitely good for healing as it was filled with greeneries all around. This place has been featured in the popular Kdrama Forest, starring Park Hae-jin and Cho Bo-ah
