On July 24, Starbucks celebrated its 21st anniversary in South Korea by opening the market’s largest Starbucks store in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggido near the scenic Namhan River. Spanning three stories and over 1,203 square meters (about 13,000 square feet), the new store is a reflection of Starbucks commitment to offering more ways for customers in Korea to enjoy the Starbucks Experience.

Starbucks Yangpyeong branch boast of 3 story building with Han River view. Out of the 1,430 Starbucks outlets in South Korea, the Yangpyeong outlet is by far the largest and both the first Bakery coffeeshop in South Korea. It can accommodate more than 260 customers on its 2nd and 3rd floors.

Starbucks Korea revealed that the decision to open an outlet in Yangpyeong rooted from the strong appeal and attractiveness of the Yangpyeong city’s natural scenery that has been proven to never failed when it come sot attracting both new tourist and locals that live all around this areas as well as Seoulites over the years.

Designed with tall panoramic glass walls, the Starbucks Yangpyeong outlet allows customers to enjoy an unobstructed view of the stunning landscape as they sip and slurp into their favourite drinks and bakery.

The Yangpyeong drive-thru store is the first Starbucks store in Korea to bring together a Reserve coffee bar, Teavana bar and drive-thru format. The result is a new experience for Korean customers that incorporates an interactive space with premium coffee and tea at the heart, featuring the ease and convenience of a Starbucks drive-thru. Visitors can enjoy a premium coffee of freshly roasted single origin, coffeees and tea here as well as order drinks by drive thru areas.

On the 2nd floor, you’ll find the Reserve coffee bar and Teavana bar. The wooden furnishing and open seating arrangement here is really calm and relaxing. There is a large window glass wall for customers to enjoy a stunning Namhan river view in this Starbucks

 Yangpyeong outlet has an in-store bakery that serves freshly-baked pastries instead of the usual pre-made ones. It’s the first Starbucks outlet in South Korea to bake bread inside of their store in all over Korea, is’nt it amazing?

On top of it, there are various kinds of bakery menus here in Starbucks Yangpyeong, at least there are 19 kinds of bread here. The bakery is a joint venture between Shinsegae Group’s E-mart and Starbucks Korea.

According to informations from Starbucks, the bakery will introduce new items at least every 1-2 months. For now, customers can enjoy treats like chocolate cream croissant and honey cheese walnut bread, as well as savoury dishes such as bacon asparagus sandwich and croque madame.
