Squid Game Creator Confirmed Season 2 Of Squid Games on Netflix!

He confirmed it by saying that due to global interest and request, he doesn’t have a choice but to make the next season of this squid game drama.

Director Hwang confirmed of Season 2
“You leave us no choice,” says Hwang Dong-hyuk, creator of the South Korean hit that’s become Netflix’s most popular show ever.
Hwang previously said he wants to make a film first, but he has also mused that the next season of squid game drama could focus on masked antagonist the Front Man.
Director Hwang said, “There will be indeed the 2nd season, It is in my head now. We are currently in the planning stage. I think it’s too early to say when and how the follow-up will come out.”
He continued, “I will promise this. Gi-hun (the main character) will return and do something for the world.”
In particular, Lee Jung-jae, who played the main character Sung Gi-hun, said, “It’s amazing. People just walk by and say, “Hi,” adding, “I don’t know how to respond to all this love. It’s very cool to be able to meet fans who love and watch this drama so much.”+

As Hwang previously told The Sunday Times, “I think the issue with police officers is not just an issue in Korea. I see it on the global news that the police force can be very late on acting on things—there are more victims or a situation gets worse because of them not acting fast enough. This was an issue that I wanted to raise. Maybe in Season Two I can talk about this more.”
Remembering the end of Squid Game’s first season, despite the death of the Squid Game’s creator Oh Il Nam, Gi-hun discovers that the competition is still going on with the new recruits. It would be safe to say that the story might continue with Gi Hun back to the games, doing all he can to stop the game or beat the VIP and Front man together.

Hwang told Variety and The Times, “I wanted to write a story that was an allegory or fable about modern capitalist society, something that depicts an extreme competition, somewhat like the extreme competition of life. But I wanted it to use the kind of characters we’ve all met in real life. We’re just all focused on winning. I wanted to take a break and think about who makes the system, and what we’re moving towards.”
Hwang also told The Times, “While I was writing season one, I thought about the stories that could be in season two if I get to do one – one would be the story of the Frontman. I think the issue with police officers is not just an issue in Korea. So it seems that the intersection of power, social control and law enforcement is a topic Hwang considers worthwhile. The Frontman himself wasn’t a police officer, but his brother was.
Actor Wi Ha Jun & Front Man
Actor Wi Ha-Jun, who plays officer Hwang Jun-ho, told Deadline: “I’m dying to know what happened to him [Jun-ho]. I want him to return alive, find his brother and ask him tons of questions. As a brother, I would ask him sincerely as a detective, I want to explore the overall secrets behind the game as well.
“I really hope to see Jun-ho come back alive and explore all these questions, I hope to see a more brotherly-love side of their relationship as well.”
The police character was a great character to open up the behind the scenes of the games. Hopefully Hwang Dong hyuk will find a way to keep him alive and investigate the origin of the games, or at least his brother’s part in it.

Theory about Oh Il Nam as Gi Hun's Father

Netflix didn’t immediately respond and officially confirmed about squid game season 2.
However, Director Hwang did promise that Squid Game’s main character, Gi-hun, would return in season 2 and “do something for the world.”
