To be more accurate, on 6th September, Star News, a Korean entertainment media company, reported that Kim Seon-ho is currently in negotiation to make his movie debut in Sad Tropics. Kim Seon Ho’s fame start soaring after his role in the popular K-drama Start-up, and also current airing korean drama Hometown Cha-cha-cha, where he plays as the lead actor. He’s even currently considered as the hottest rising stars in south korea.

Sad Tropics movies is a story about a protagonist who comes from a multicultural family that have a dreams to become a professional boxer. His father is Korean and his mother is Filipino. His father abandons him yet he keep on looking for his father in South Korea. The journey is not easy as he ended up meeting bad guys along the way.

There are two protagonists in Sad Tropics, and Kim Seon-ho has been offered one of the lead roles, where he will play a completely different role from the usual sweet and bubbly characters he has portrayed so far.
Filming may begin in November

Star News also reported that if Kim Seon ho accept this offer, then he will start filming for Sad Tropics movie right after finish filming for the currently airing tvN drama titled Hometown Cha-cha-cha. Hometown Cha korean drama most likely will finish on October or November.

Just for your informations, this movie will be directed by Park Hoon Jung director. He is famous for creating a great hits such as New World, a crime genre movie and The Witch, a mystery and thriller genre movies.
Currently the director and his team are in the process of casting the other actor who will filled the role of the boxer. After this casting process is complete, then the filming process for Sad Tropics will eventually start. We can safely predict that they will start to begin the filming process at early december or it might be as early as the late November.

Sad Tropics will be his first next step in the filming and movie entertainment industry, if he accept this offer. The agency hasn’t confirmed or response to this latest news but we hope that he will take this offer so we can see him again in the big screen after hometown Cha.
