This is my very first journey in making money online. You can create a print-on-demand (POD) store and sell your designs on various products, such as t-shirts, mugs, and phone cases.

If you are good at digital marketing or have a huge social media followers, then you can just open a shopify store and connect it to print-on-demand companies like printify / printful.

Setting up a Shopify online store is easy; you can check youtube for the step by step tutorials on how to make your own Shopify store in one day.

Quick and Easy
Simple
Scalable
Directly connect to POD company.
Offers a lot of marketing tools

The Cons:

Price
Need huge following / digital marketing knowledge

Etsy

Etsy is a marketplace filled with tons of people looking for personalized products. I love this platform more than Amazon because you can set higher prices if your design is fantastic.

The best part about Etsy is that they already have substantial site visitors, so you don’t need to make an extra marketing effort to grab people’s attention.

The Pros:

Directly put your product in front of millions of customers.
SEO is very easy.
Offers a daily ads budget where they will automaticall promote your products.

The Cons:

Without copyright, your design is easily stolen by others.
It takes some time to receive the payment.

Redbubble

Redbubble is the easiest and the best beginner-friendly option when it comes to starting a print-on-demand business. You only need to submit your design, and they will automatically create your mock-ups and manage everything for you.

Whenever there’s an order, they will automatically make it and ship it to your customers. You will get commissions based on the price you set on their platform.

The Pros:

Fast track.
Everything manage by Redbubble company, from making your product to shipping and customer service.
Auto mock-ups.

The Cons:

Not scalable.
No branding or marketing.
Low profits.

2. Start Selling Online Courses

If you have expertise in a particular area, you can create an online course and sell it on platforms like Udemy or Skillshare.

To be more profitable, you can also set up social media as a channel for you to start selling your online course. Many people are creating a youtube channel, Instagram, or Tiktok just to promote their online courses.

3. Be Influencer

If you can create content on platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Instagram or twitter, you can easily earn money through ads or brand sponsorships.

Many people come from all over the world to Korea and create a massive following on their social media accounts just by sharing what life is like in Korea.

4. Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is the basic way to earn money online. You only need to promote other people’s products and earn a commission for each sale made through your unique affiliate link.

However, it would be best if you had a substantial following to earn enough as an affiliate marketer. The difference between affiliate marketing and becoming an influencer is that you don’t need to show yourself to be an affiliate marketer.

Just set up pages like travel pages, motivational pages, or other niche pages. Then keep posting, growing your account and put your referral link on your account bio or post you create.

5. Day Trading

Day trading is a more complicated way to make money online. However, there are many tutorials you can find on youtube or courses you can find online that teach you how to earn money from day trading.

I do spot trading on forex and cryptocurrency which making me a decent amount of money. However, I don’t do this as a full-time job; instead, it’s just a side hustle because I’m not a pro trader.

You should have another full-time job to earn a stable income before you jump into trading. It can be stressful to make day trading your primary source of income.

6. English Tutors

If you are someone who can speak English fluently, you can quickly get a tutoring job on Cambly. All you need to do is sign up and make an introduction video on Cambly.

Once approved, you can just put your available schedule and wait for students to contact you.

Notes: If you come from a Western country, you can quickly get a job as an English teacher in South Korea.

7. Freelancer

You can do freelancing if you have a specific skill you can offer, like copywriting, digital marketing, web design, or others.

Sign up on a freelance platform like Fiverr and pay the lowest price, so people will try you out. After you get enough reviews, you can raise your price.

8. Blogging

If you have writing skills or love writing, you can start a blog and earn money from ads, affiliate links, and brand sponsorship.

All you need to do is get your domain name, set up your web hosting, and start publishing your content.

The downside of blogging is that it takes about 6-12 months to start getting tractions and 18 months or more to earn money (at least in my personal experience).

9. Podcaster

While blogging is perfect for those who love to write, podcasts can be excellent for those who love to talk, ask questions, or share their knowledge by speaking rather than writing.

There are a lot of podcasters that make tons of money from ads, affiliate marketing, or sell their own course. You can share your knowledge on platforms like Spotify and earn money as people start listening to you.
