Fully Vaccinated Travelers To Be Exempt from 7 Day Quarantine!

In this article we will share to you the updates concerning vaccination, quarantine and travel regulations in South Korea.
In March 11, 2022, Korean government held a press conference regarding the current regulations of Covid-19 quarantine and travel restrictions.
March 21 Updates

Starting from March 21, 2022, fully vaccinated travelers will be exempt from the seven day quarantine. ‘Fully Vaccinated’ travelers refer to someone who passed fourteen days after their second dose of vaccination and still within 180 days after their second dose of vaccination that is approved by World Health Organizations.

Those travelers who only get the first dose, less than fourteen days after the second dose, or passed 180 days since their second dose still need to undergo seven days quarantine.

South Korean residence and long-term Korea visa holders can do the quarantine at the convenient of their homes, while travelers will be quarantine at government quarantine facility.
Register Vaccination Status

Those who got their vaccination in Korea will have the vaccination status automatically registered while those vaccinated in other country should submit the vaccination certificate to the health center in order to register the vaccination status.
April Updates

Starting on April 1, The entry system will be open for travelers vaccinated in another country to directly submit the vaccination history and health certificate to register their vaccination status. By doing so, travelers can done this before they enter the country in order to be exempt from the quarantine regulations.

More than that, start from next month, foreign travelers will be allowed to use public transportation upon entry. Currently, foreign travelers are required to use private vehicles upon arrival such as quarantine taxy pr isolated sections on KTX.
Countries that are not included

Unfortunately, those from Ukraine, Myanmar, Pakistan and Uzbekistan are not included in this quarantine updates, and so those travelers from these listed country will have to face the seven day quarantine process.
