Cafe Kongjip is a cafe created through the Cook Folly Project, a project to revive the old parts of Gwangju become something new and alive. As you enter this cafe, you can feel the unique design and the freshness of the nature you can’t find elsewhere.
This cafe is having botanical garden theme style, which distinct this cafe to another in Sansu-dong, Gwangju. Also this cafe is well heated, so don’t need worry to come here during the winter.

Hawon Jae is a really unique, spacious, classic style tea house located in Yangnim-dong, Gwangju. The cafe is unique in that the owner communicates with visitors. Their signature tea here is black tea.
This cafe is located near Honam Theological University and Seminary. This teahouse really presents a new experience for the young adults who are not familiar with tea culture. To be exact, Hawonjae Tearoom (티룸하원재) is located in the heart of Gwangju’s Culture Street (문화의 거리) in Yangnim-dong (양림동).
Yangnim-dong provided you the experience of walking through the old streets of Korea, which envelop you in a sense of nostalgia for Korea in the past.

6k Coffee, is actually in the same line road of Lois Coffee I mentioned earlier. In korean, 6k coffee, 욕각 커피, means Hexagon Coffee, evident in their modern, six-sided logo.
Their design is really match their name, with modern simple in white interior design, this cafe really attract many customers in Gwangju.
Their signature menu is coconut coffee, creamy blend of coconut milk and house brew is coffee with a tropical twist a trip to white sand beaches with palm trees.

Cafe Milldang is also located nearby the Lois Coffee and 6k Coffee I mentioned earlier. Cafe Milldang is a boutique space featuring lots of exposed concrete, hanging greenery, and an outstanding cake selection.
As you see this cafe is selling various cake selection and actually their cafe is more famous than their coffee menu. Make sure you try both their cake and coffee as you come here, but if you don’t like coffee, there is also a various option of non-coffee menu here.

Struct Cafe (스트럭트)
Struct is actually one of a kind coffeeshop in Gwangju. I almost think this one is more like Seoul cafe, as this one is not just modern, but also quiet stylish as you can see in the pictures.
Struct coffee located in the ally of Dongmyeong-dong at Gwangju. I recommended you to come here during the night or evening time, as the night time is more beautiful with all the lights that is lit up. You can’t imagine the difference between the day and the night time at this cafe.
Suddenly the signs turn gold, and this cafe becoming more romantic and just beautiful. Make sure you come here to enjoy their beautiful light as you slurp a little bit of coffee here with your loved ones.

Cafe Villa Roma (빌라로마)
Cafe Villa Roma is really have an awesome vibe but different with the other coffeeshop mentioned earlier. As you see this coffeeshop more into red brick natural antique style coffee shop, with some classic ornaments, wooden door and glass window just add the feeling of vintage and warm into this cafe.
If you are confused when you enter in here, as you see many of furnitures are on display, don’t be worry if you get it wrong. Villa Roma is also a furniture shop, so they also display their furnitures here. The second floor is full of cute accessories that will be no doubt attract the attention of girls cutomers.
