Geum Oreum is in one of the most beautiful oreum located in the west of Jeju Island and renowned for its beautiful sunset view. This place was featured on some popular korean TV Show’s like Hyori’s Bed and breakfast to mention. Other than the sunset, this beautiful oreum is also a popular as paragliding spot for it’s beautiful surrounding views.

Gunsan Oreum is a volcanic cone that lies horizontally across the Changocheon Stream in front of Andeok-myeon Changcheon-ri, enveloping Nandeureu on its southern face. The road that branches off the west of Nandeureu follows this mountain’s western slope in a steep and curvy hill, which leads into a sedimentary layer of a valley to the south.

Mulyeongari Volcanic Cone stands in the middle of an undulating hilly area. On top of the volcanic cone, there is a mountain top crater lake resembling a large bowl. It is designated as the 5th Ramsar wetland in 2006.

Therefore, the volcanic cone is an important place in terms of preserving the natural ecosystem. Mulyeongari Volcanic Cone also called Suyeongak or Suryeongak because the crater lake at the top of the volcanic cone always holds still water. There are more than 800 stairs that take about an hour to reach the top, which can be quite challenging.

Baekyak-Ioreum is located about 3.5km northeast of the entrance to Seongeup 2-ri, Pyoseon-myeon. Located on the border with Songdang-ri, Gujwa-eup, this oreum is called Baekyak-i Oreum (百藥岳) because many medicinal herbs have been growing wild since ancient times. It is in the shape of a flat crater (gumburi), and medicinal herbs such as dogwood flowers, perfume oil, mugwort, banyan grass, laminaria, and rhododendron grow wild inside.

Geomun Oreum was created by volcanic activities between 100,000 and 300,000 years ago. Lava flow from the crater went along the coastal slope to the Northeast and formed a unique geographical feature called Seonheulgot.

The lave flow also formed Bengdwigul Cave on the left side, and Manjanggul, Gimnyeonggul, Yongcheondonggul and Dangcheomuldonggul Caves on the right side. Each of these caves has its own unique features.

Abu Oreum is a circular cone in Jeju Island. WIth just walk about 5 minutes, you can reach the peak of it. However, it takes an hour to walk the full circle of this oreum. If you know Seoul-Lee Hyori MV then you will recognized this oreum.

Darangshi Oreum is one of Jeju’s 368 oreums. It is located near Mazeland, Bijarim, and Yongnuni Oreum. Darangshi Oreum rises about 382 meters above ground level, so the walk can feel a little steep.

Another special feature of Darangshi Oreum is the crater at the top of the oreum. Darangshi Oreum is a beautiful place to watch the sunrise or doing paragliding.

Yongnuni Oreum maybe the one you see the most when you find Jeju Island as it was famous for its dragon shape. Yongnuni Oreum is a great place to enjoy the sunset view and landscape of Seongsan Ilchulbong sunrise peak. It’s so gentle and easy to hike the hill, only take about 30 minutes to go up.
