The World of the Married  korean drama is a 2020 South Korean television series starring Kim Hee-ae, Park Hae-joon, and Han So-hee. The series is the highest-rated drama in Korean cable television history, even though the series was criticized for its portrayal of sex and violence. This is my own favourite drama, because of the twist inside of the relationship in this drama.

 

The story is about Ji Sun-woo (Kim Hee-ae), who is a revered family medicine doctor and the associate director at Family Love Hospital. She is married to Lee Tae-oh (Park Hae-joon), with whom she has a teenage son, Lee Joon-young (Jeon Jin-seo). Sun-woo seems to have everything from a successful career to a happy family, but unbeknownst to her, she is betrayed by her husband and friends.

Meanwhile, Tae-oh dreams of becoming a famous movie director. He runs a small entertainment and film company with the support of his wife. Even though he loves and cares for his wife, Tae-oh sets himself up in a dangerous position with an extramarital affair.

The drama revolves around the lives of housewives living in a luxurious residential area called SKY Castle in suburban Seoul, where wealthy doctors and professors live. The wives are determined to make their husbands more successful and to raise their children like princes and princesses and to be top students. They want their children to go to top universities so they use every way possible to get that. They spend billions of won to hire coordinators for college entrance exams

Crash Landing on You korean drama is about Yoon Se-ri (Son Ye-jin), who is a South Korean successful entrepreneur and a chaebol heiress. One day, while paragliding in Seoul, a tornado blows her off course. As a result, she crash-lands into the North Korean portion of the DMZ. Ri Jeong-hyeok (Hyun Bin) is a member of the North Korean elite and a captain in the Korean People’s Army. As he is patrolling, he meets Se-ri and saves her. Having decided to help her go back to the South, he hides her from other North Koreans, especially Cho Cheol-gang (Oh Man-seok) who is out to expose him. As they spend time together, they fall in love.

Kim Shin (Gong Yoo), a decorated military general from the Goryeo Dynasty, is framed as a traitor and killed by the young king. Years after his death, he is cursed by the Almighty to stay immortal forever, enduring the pain of seeing his loved ones die as punishment for the soldiers he killed to protect his country. He becomes an immortal goblin, helping people with his powers and being a kind man in spite of his grieving past. The only way to put an end to his immortality is the Goblin’s bride, whose aid in pulling out the sword will end his painful immortality.

Ji Eun-tak (Kim Go-eun) is a bubbly high school student who remains cheerful and hopeful despite her tragic life. She summons the Goblin by chance and their fates begin to entwine. The Goblin’s nephew, Yoo Deok-hwa (Yook Sung-jae), leases the Goblin’s house to a Grim Reaper (Lee Dong-wook) and the two end up living under the same roof. Ji Eun-tak starts working a part-time job at a chicken store run by a charismatic young woman, Sunny (Yoo In-na).

As the lives of Kim Shin, Grim Reaper, Ji Eun-tak and Sunny interweave, a deeper story unfolds, as they are not just strangers who met by chance, but people with deep-rooted relations.

Mr. Sunshine korean drama is a 2018 South Korean television series written by Kim Eun-sook and directed by Lee Eung-bok, starring Lee Byung-hun, Kim Tae-ri, Yoo Yeon-seok, Kim Min-jung and Byun Yo-han. The series is set in Hanseong (the former name of Seoul) in the early 1900s, and focuses on activists fighting for Korea’s independence. 

 

Mr. Sunshine centres around Eugene Choi (Lee Byung-hun) who was born into slavery in Joseon but escaped to the United States after the 1871 Shinmiyangyo (U.S. expedition to Korea). He becomes a United States Marine Corps officer and returns to Joseon for a mission. While in Joseon, he meets and falls in love with an aristocrat’s granddaughter, Go Ae-shin (Kim Tae-ri), who is part of the Righteous Army. However, their love is challenged by both their different classes and the presence of Kim Hee-sung (Byun Yo-han), a nobleman in an arranged marriage with Ae-shin. While in Joseon, he also encounters Goo Dong-mae (Yoo Yeon-seok), a ruthless samurai also in love with Ae-shin, and Hina Kudo (Kim Min-jung), owner of the popular “Glory Hotel” where Eugene stays. At the same time, he discovers a plot by the Empire of Japan to colonize Korea and soon becomes embroiled in the fight for Joseon’s sovereignty.

Itaewon Class korean dramais a 2020 South Korean television series starring Park Seo-joon, Kim Da-mi, Yoo Jae-myung and Kwon Nara. 

 

On the first day of attending his new high school, Park Sae Ro Yi punches his classmate Jang Geun Won, who was bullying another classmate. The bully is the son of CEO Jang Dae Hee. The bully’s father runs restaurant business Jagga where Sae Ro Yi’s own father works. 

CEO Jang Dae Hee demands to Sae Ro Yi that he apologizes to his son, but Sae Ro Yi refuses. Because of his refusal, he gets expelled from school and his father gets fired from his job. Soon, an accident takes place. Sae Ro Yi’s father dies in a motorcycle accident caused by his ex-classmate Jang Geun Won. Burning with anger, Sae Ro Yi viciously beats Jang Geun Won. 

He is soon arrested and receives prison time for violent assault. Sae Ro Yi decides to destroy the Jagga company and take revenge upon CEO Jang Dae Hee and his son Jang Geun Won. Once Sae Ro Yi is released from prison, he opens a restaurant in Itaewon, Seoul. Jo Yi Seo, who is popular on social media, joins Sae Ro Yi’s restaurant and works there as a manager.

8. 100 Days my prince 백일의 낭군님

100 Days My Prince korean drama is a 2018 South Korean television series starring Do Kyung-soo and Nam Ji-hyun.

The story is revolves around Lee Yul, who is the king’s nephew that enjoys spending his days playing instead of studying. He enjoys playing with the peasant children alongside his best friend and guardian, Dong-joo.

One day, as he is playing with the peasant children where they play the villains, Yul uses his status to punish the children by beating them up, oblivious that his actions are hurting them. The children could not object to this treatment due to Yul’s status.

A girl, Yoon Yi-seo intervenes and chides Yul for his cruel actions. Like Yul, Yi-seo is from a noble family, but is kind, smart and compassionate. Yul instantly develops a crush on Yi-seo, and this causes him to change to become more studious in order to impress her. Yi-seo’s father is a general and the right-hand man of the king.

In the modern age, Jang Bong-hwan (Choi Jin-hyuk) is a chef who works for the country’s top politicians at the Blue House. He has a free spirit, but he one day finds himself in the body of Queen Cheorin (Shin Hye-sun) in the Joseon period. King Cheoljong (Kim Jung-hyun), the reigning monarch, is a gentle and easy-going person. However, he is only king in name. Queen Sunwon (Bae Jong-ok), the late King Sunjo’s wife, wields true power in the country and has relegated King Cheoljong to a figurehead. Her ambitious younger brother, Kim Jwa-geun (Kim Tae-woo), also desires power. Queen Cheorin soon discovers that King Cheoljong is not what he seems, and that he has a dark and suspicious side to him.
